What is a Civil Celebrant?

A Civil Celebrant is simply a person who carries out the duties of an Officiant at various ceremonies for individuals, couples & families who wish to celebrate a life or occasion driven by their wishes, beliefs & values and not by the beliefs or ideology of the person conducting the service.

Examples of Civil Ceremonies include:

Baby Naming Ceremonies

Weddings

Civil Partnerships

Commitment Ceremonies

Renewal of Marraige vows

Funerals **

Civil Ceremonies  are normally written to be more personal to the people involved and include music, poetry, readings & favourite sayings that can mean so much more. Civil Ceremonies can include some religious content if required such as hymns, prayer & readings.

Following a Civil Ceremony particpants/families are left with written evidence of the Celebration of Life and/or the Ceremony & commitments made in the way of a Tribute or Certificate.
